Hy-Vee Deals 2/9 – 2/15

Here are my Hy-Vee top picks and coupon matches for the week of 2/9. The biggest news of the week is the Saturday sale on February 13th in the Des Moines metro area. If you’re out of the area, check your local store to see if you might have any special sales this week. I’ll put the special Saturday items at the end of the post.

I saw many items listed on sale at Hy-Vee this week that don’t carry as low of a price point as they have in recent weeks. Either the season is cycling or prices are going up in general; I’m not quite sure. However, this drives home the point that an item being on sale is not equal to it being a good deal or the best available price. Are the days of $3.99 and $4.99 boxes of clementines over? $1.99 per pound for country ribs isn’t a terrible price but I regularly spot them for $1.88 or even as low as $1.69. Stock up on items that hit the lowest price because you may not see that price hit again for a long while. It may seem silly but these small differences really add up over time.
