Giveaway Over! Thanks all!
Macy’s Go Red for Women campaign is raising awareness about heart disease next week on National Wear Red Day on February 5th. Go Red for Women is a nationwide movement that Macy’s sponsors for the American Heart Association, and it celebrates the efforts to wipe out heart disease. Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of men and women in America? My grandmother has heart disease and it makes me feel good that there are ways for us to improve the lives of our own generation and future generations by fighting heart disease.
Want to get involved? There are many ways that you can help:
- Get your shopping groove on and support Go Red with the Macy’s Wear Red Sale.
- Show your heart for fashion and Go Red by buying the limited edition INC International Concepts Little Red Dress. (I love this!)
- Share your story about heart disease at the Go Red Casting Calls
- Attend a luncheon for Go Red for Women in your area
- Show your support and join Go Red for Women
Macy’s is really committed to this very noble cause and I’m proud to host their giveaway here. They are generously donating a $25 gift card to one of my readers in celebration of Go Red for Women. If you haven’t shopped Macy’s before you’re in for a treat. Even if you don’t have one in your area you can find something for yourself at Macy’s online.
Ways to Enter
(leave a separate comment on my blog for each entry, you can do each one once. Do just one or all three, it’s up to you!)
1. Visit the Wear Red sale and leave a comment with your favorite product from the sale.
2. Share a story about how heart disease has touched your life in a comment.
3. Connect with Go Red for Women on Facebook. Leave a comment letting me know that you joined their page.
I’ll choose a winner at 11 pm on February 5th. That’s next week so get your entries in as soon as possible. Good luck!
The Fine Print: A public relations firm contacted me on behalf of Macy’s to promote the Go Red for Women event and giveaway. A reader will win $25 but I have not been compensated in any way for my time, review, or giveaway.

I had various cancers touch my life through loved ones, but thankfully I cannot say that about heart disease. My prayer is that I can continue to say that throughout my life.

Both my great-grandmother and my grandfather suffered from heart disease. They both passed away almost 20 years ago and I miss them. My grandfather had only been retired 6 months and he had congestive heart failure and died suddenly while golfing. He missed out on my oldest son being born and growing up and he would have been so happy to have a great-grandson since he only had a daughter and granddaughters. I was always his dream to have a male grandchild to do “guy things” with.

Love the “bianca” black and white towel collection. They would look great in my bathroom!
My grandfather has had two heart attacks. The first required him to have a quadruple bi-pass surgery. The second one he had was minor. Due to his heart issues my whole family has become more aware of what we eat and tried to keep our cholesterol levels in check.

My grandma and uncle both have heart disease. We’re more aware of prevention and getting healthier since we realized this could be from the family history.
